About Me

Name's Jessi...but you can call me Geo. I'm a stubborn and independent 24-year-old and have no idea what to do with my life, but that's okay. Cat lover. Music lover. Fluent in sarcasm. I love to read because it's how I escape reality. I could recommend books til I'm blue in the face.

Hosted by I'm Loving Books
I have a special shelf for 2012 so I will be choosing off of that one instead of my main TBR list.
My random.org number: 15
The book for slot #15:
The Body Finder by Kimberly Derting
Violet Ambrose is grappling with two major issues: Jay Heaton and her morbid secret ability. While the sixteen-year-old is confused by her new feelings for her best friend since childhood, she is more disturbed by her "power" to sense dead bodies—or at least those that have been murdered. Since she was a little girl, she has felt the echoes that the dead leave behind in the world... and the imprints that attach to their killers.
Violet has never considered her strange talent to be a gift; it mostly just led her to find the dead birds her cat had tired of playing with. But now that a serial killer has begun terrorizing her small town, and the echoes of the local girls he's claimed haunt her daily, she realizes she might be the only person who can stop him.
Despite his fierce protectiveness over her, Jay reluctantly agrees to help Violet on her quest to find the murderer—and Violet is unnerved to find herself hoping that Jay's intentions are much more than friendly. But even as she's falling intensely in love, Violet is getting closer and closer to discovering a killer... and becoming his prey herself.
Woo hoo! Been wanting to read this for a while, and it's not ANYWHERE on my tentative schedule, so I probably wouldn't have gotten to it until way later in the year!

Oh gosh this is a great feature! There are stacks of books around me that I may never get to so this will help take a chunk out one book at a time. Thanks for sharing and great pick!

Awesome new meme! It helps knock down my TBR a bit (though it gets bigger and bigger by the day!). I actually just did this myself :D Awesome pick! That book has been on my TBR forever but I've just never gotten round to it. I really look forward to your review of it!
ReplyDeleteAll the best ♥
Mackenzie @ Oh, For the Love of Books!
I saw the latest in this series at TLA and it looks really interesting. I hope you love it!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great feature! I'm not sure I could stick with it?? I'm such a mood reader. Hope you enjoy the book!
ReplyDeleteThanks guys! I've been wanting to read this one, hope it's as good as the hype says it is!
ReplyDeleteDalene, I know what you mean...I'm moody about books too! That's why I only chose off of my 'for 2012' list. I've got hundreds on the main list and it would probably pick something I didn't feel like reading :p
LOVE this. I just tried it with my GR list and came up with GILT by Katherine Longshore. :)
ReplyDeleteI've been seeing that one around a lot! I may have to break down and add it to my TBR list...if I remember right, it didn't sound like something I wanted to read but the cover is just beautiful and I've been hearing a lot of great things about it :)
ReplyDeleteI have no idea how you manage to do random reads! :O This is incredible, yet for me impossible. XD I'm too moody, it seems.
