About Me

Name's Jessi...but you can call me Geo. I'm a stubborn and independent 24-year-old and have no idea what to do with my life, but that's okay. Cat lover. Music lover. Fluent in sarcasm. I love to read because it's how I escape reality. I could recommend books til I'm blue in the face.

Rating System

EPIC - This book is so full of awesome that a 5 star rating just isn't good enough!

I loved it - Definitely a favorite. I would read it again for sure!

I really liked it - Great read but doesn't quite make it on my favorite shelf.

I liked it - Good read, but not really memorable.

It was OK - Didn't care for it much, but still had some redeeming qualities.

Not for me - I could barely get through it. These are the books that usually spawn a long, sarcastic rant session from me.

TGIF is hosted by GReads

.:Weekly Recap:.
No IMM this week, the only book I got last week was Tiger's Curse from the library.

Top Ten Tuesday (20): Tips for new bloggers

Trailer and Excerpt Reveal: Taste by Kate Evangelista

Reviews:

This week's TGIF question: Book blogger influences!! Has there been a particular book blogger who's influenced what you read? Share with us a review/book blog that convinced you to pick up a certain book.

Honestly, I can't think of one specifically. I'm not really picky about the books I add to my TBR list (as long as the cover looks good), so if it looks/sounds interesting, I add it on Goodreads.

This week's Follow Friday question: Character battle!! If you could have any two characters from books fight it out, who would you pick and who would win?

Well, I recently read the Hex Hall series and loved it, so I'm going to have to pick Sophie. And, since the character who inspired the most hatred from me was Sookie Stackhouse, I guess I'll pick her to get her ass kicked by the awesome Sophie. ;)

  1. I just recently tried to read the latest Hex Hall novel in the series but sadly wasn't able to finish. Nice choice on the winner. Both have supernatural powers up the wazoo, but Sookie does seem like the likely outcome. lol

  7. I'm not particularly a fan of Sookie either - she spends too much time waiting to be rescued!

I haven't read Hex Hall, but it sounds like Sophie could totally win against Sookie!

  10. Haven't read Hex Hall yet, so I don't know Sophie. :( I'm not a big fan of Sookie either. It sounds like it's going to be a good fight, though!

  11. Nice! Still need to read the last two Sophie books. But gotta read some ARCs first! I think she could take Sookie as well, as long as she didn't "think" about her next move!

  13. I'm currently reading Demonglass. Sophie is hilarious. I would love to see her fight Sookie (even though I like Sookie lol). Great answer. I didn't do F&F this week, but I'm still trying to visit others.

  18. I'm a cover drooler as well. If it doesn't pass the cover test, I won't even consider it. Other than that, I take the reviews with a grain of salt.

  19. I've only watched some episodes about Snookie, but I'm not really a fan of her. And although I haven't read the Hex Hall books (but I am planning to) I hope Sophie kicks her butt ^^
