About Me

Name's Jessi...but you can call me Geo. I'm a stubborn and independent 24-year-old and have no idea what to do with my life, but that's okay. Cat lover. Music lover. Fluent in sarcasm. I love to read because it's how I escape reality. I could recommend books til I'm blue in the face.

Rating System

EPIC - This book is so full of awesome that a 5 star rating just isn't good enough!

I loved it - Definitely a favorite. I would read it again for sure!

I really liked it - Great read but doesn't quite make it on my favorite shelf.

I liked it - Good read, but not really memorable.

It was OK - Didn't care for it much, but still had some redeeming qualities.

Not for me - I could barely get through it. These are the books that usually spawn a long, sarcastic rant session from me.

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish

I admit it, I really do judge a book by its cover. If the front isn't appealing to me, it had better come with awesome recommendations. Here are my personal favorites:

1. Tiger's Curse
by Colleen Houck
Add to Goodreads

I adore big cats and tigers are my absolute favorite of them all, so this one is extremely appealing to me.

2. The Iron Knight
by Julie Kagawa

One, Ash is sexy as hell. Two, the writing and swirlies are gorgeous!

3. Everneath
by Brodi Ashton

Red is my favorite color. 'Nuff said.

4. Supergirl Mixtapes
by Meagan Brothers
Add to Goodreads|My Review

This cover is so unique! The idea of using a tape as a book cover is brilliant.

5. Forgive My Fins
by Tera Lynn Childs

I love the bright colors!!

6. Sweet Evil
by Wendy Higgins

That dress - ooh la la!!! I love how the dark and light sides collide, and that dude is pretty darn hot.

7. Obsidian
by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Daemon is HAWT. Katy's model is gorgeous too and I love the font.

8. City of Lost Souls
by Cassandra Clare
Add to Goodreads

There's not really much besides Jace's drool-worthy arms and Clary's awesome fiery hair that really stands out, I just adore this cover. This one is by far the best of the series.

9. Shattered Souls
by Mary Lindsey

I love how her dress turns to petals!!

10. Illuminate
by Aimee Agresti

Once again with the red...and I think the font and the designs around it are gorgeous. Also love the shadow of wings!

Honorable mention:

Incarnate
by Jodi Meadows
Add to Goodreads|My Review

Her lips bother me a little, but the butterfly mask is gorgeous. The book itself is a lovely lavender color and has a pretty butterfly embossed on the cover!
