About Me

Name's Jessi...but you can call me Geo. I'm a stubborn and independent 24-year-old and have no idea what to do with my life, but that's okay. Cat lover. Music lover. Fluent in sarcasm. I love to read because it's how I escape reality. I could recommend books til I'm blue in the face.

TGIF is hosted by GReads
.:Weekly Recap:.
No more memes this week!
Reviews:
This week's TGIF question: Book blogger retreat!! If you could gather up a handful of book blogger friends to spend a weekend talking books, where would you go? Tell us about it.
Hmm...honestly, there's not many places around here. There are a couple lakes with camping and cabin rentals somewhere close, I think that would be pretty cool. Rent a cabin for the weekend and spend it reading in the great outdoors!! :D

This week's Follow Friday question: Do you read one book at a time, or do you switch back and forth between books?
For the most part I try to stick to one at a time, but I usually have a hard copy and and ebook going at the same time. Where I'm at depends on which one I read. But sometimes I'll put a book down and work on something else for a while. :)

Stop by my blog sometime! :D

I can only handle one book at a time. Its much easier for me to finish books that way!

i only have so much attention to dedicate to one book i can't afford to spread that attention to another book!

Good point! I, too, put a book down to read another (to get back to the 1st one after finishing the 2nd).
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday!
I'm a follower...
_yay_ @ FollowFriday
I usually only have one book at a time, but sometimes I have to switch for book tours.

Happy Friday :)
Since I started reading eARCs on my iPad, it's definitely upped how many I read at once.
ReplyDeleteAnd I think going up to a cabin by the lake would be perfect! Very serene for reading.
Happy friday :)

Hi Jessi :O)
ReplyDeleteNew Follower.
I agree that it's actually much easier to have a hard copy as well as an E-Reader.
Here's mine:

Old FB Fan/Follower hopping through! :) Wow, I seldomly read more than one book at a time, so I'm impressed that you manage to do such a thing!

Good answers!! Out here we got the beach - the chilly beach with gusting winds and sideways sand. :-) Or the mountain cabin. That'd be cool. I can't read just one. Books are like chocolate. I like lots of chocolate, too. -Burgandy Ice
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday! I'm a new follower. I seem to read hard copy books more steadily than eBooks, but I think that's because I get distracted easily, ha.
ReplyDeleteMy FF :)
Hi there :) just hopping through...
ReplyDeleteI read quite a few books at a time normnally :) Here is my choice...
Feature & Follow
Hi,
ReplyDeleteAlready a follower. I love your site-all beachy!! :) I am a 2 book going at the same time girl and then I also have one in my purse!!

I always have at least one paper copy and one ebook on the go at once. I'll often read them in different situations - so, say, the ebook on public transport (I'm always paranoid people judge my book covers in public!) and the paper copy while waiting for the washing machine to sing to me.
ReplyDeleteNew follower. My FF.
I always read one at a time so that I can give my full attention to it!

Yay for one book at a time! That's what I do as well and prefer doing!
ReplyDeleteI couldn't think of a specific place either! I just chose some unknown super bookstore that I would love to go to and sit, relax, chat and then buy books!
Here's my Friday Hops
Have a GREAT weekend!

Happy Friday, Jessica - I am the same way. I prefer to read on book at a time.

ReplyDeleteI sometimes do one book and one ebook, but it does depend on my mood. It's not as easy to keep track of your thoughts and the story, but I have been known to try.

We have similar answers! I usually read e-books when I can't have a paper book like in a doctor's office or during lunch at work.

Hopping by! I can't switch between books any more, though I used to be able to. Even if I read on my Kindle, I only read that book, mostly because I don't have time to read two!

I'd only do a cabin in the woods by the water if you can guarantee no bugs! I get crotchity if I have to deal with bugs! Beach for me with that cool coastal breeze....
ReplyDeleteHere is my Follow Friday Answer. I hope you stop by!
New follower on GFC and networked blogs! I only read 1 book at a time!
