About Me

Name's Jessi...but you can call me Geo. I'm a stubborn and independent 24-year-old and have no idea what to do with my life, but that's okay. Cat lover. Music lover. Fluent in sarcasm. I love to read because it's how I escape reality. I could recommend books til I'm blue in the face.

Rating System

EPIC - This book is so full of awesome that a 5 star rating just isn't good enough!

I loved it - Definitely a favorite. I would read it again for sure!

I really liked it - Great read but doesn't quite make it on my favorite shelf.

I liked it - Good read, but not really memorable.

It was OK - Didn't care for it much, but still had some redeeming qualities.

Not for me - I could barely get through it. These are the books that usually spawn a long, sarcastic rant session from me.

TGIF is hosted by GReads

.:Weekly Recap:.
No more memes this week!

Reviews:

This week's TGIF question: Book blogger retreat!! If you could gather up a handful of book blogger friends to spend a weekend talking books, where would you go? Tell us about it.

Hmm...honestly, there's not many places around here. There are a couple lakes with camping and cabin rentals somewhere close, I think that would be pretty cool. Rent a cabin for the weekend and spend it reading in the great outdoors!! :D

This week's Follow Friday question: Do you read one book at a time, or do you switch back and forth between books?

For the most part I try to stick to one at a time, but I usually have a hard copy and and ebook going at the same time. Where I'm at depends on which one I read. But sometimes I'll put a book down and work on something else for a while. :)

  7. Since I started reading eARCs on my iPad, it's definitely upped how many I read at once.

And I think going up to a cabin by the lake would be perfect! Very serene for reading.

    Happy friday :)

    New Follower.

I agree that it's actually much easier to have a hard copy as well as an E-Reader.

  13. Good answers!! Out here we got the beach - the chilly beach with gusting winds and sideways sand. :-) Or the mountain cabin. That'd be cool. I can't read just one. Books are like chocolate. I like lots of chocolate, too. -Burgandy Ice

  14. Happy Friday! I'm a new follower. I seem to read hard copy books more steadily than eBooks, but I think that's because I get distracted easily, ha.

  17. I always have at least one paper copy and one ebook on the go at once. I'll often read them in different situations - so, say, the ebook on public transport (I'm always paranoid people judge my book covers in public!) and the paper copy while waiting for the washing machine to sing to me.

  20. Yay for one book at a time! That's what I do as well and prefer doing!

I couldn't think of a specific place either! I just chose some unknown super bookstore that I would love to go to and sit, relax, chat and then buy books!

I sometimes do one book and one ebook, but it does depend on my mood. It's not as easy to keep track of your thoughts and the story, but I have been known to try.
