About Me

Name's Jessi...but you can call me Geo. I'm a stubborn and independent 24-year-old and have no idea what to do with my life, but that's okay. Cat lover. Music lover. Fluent in sarcasm. I love to read because it's how I escape reality. I could recommend books til I'm blue in the face.

Rating System

EPIC - This book is so full of awesome that a 5 star rating just isn't good enough!

I loved it - Definitely a favorite. I would read it again for sure!

I really liked it - Great read but doesn't quite make it on my favorite shelf.

I liked it - Good read, but not really memorable.

It was OK - Didn't care for it much, but still had some redeeming qualities.

Not for me - I could barely get through it. These are the books that usually spawn a long, sarcastic rant session from me.

You're supposed to read a set number from each category, but I'm kinda making my own rules for this one. The point of me participating in this is to get outside of my comfort zone in genres, and contemporary isn't something I usually read. I had some trouble finding older contemps I wanted to read, so I'm just going to set my overall goal at 15 total, no matter what year they were released.

The pictures are just some ideas for what I want to read. Pictures linked to Goodreads.

2010 Contemporaries

Read:
1. If I Stay by Gayle Forman
2. Rules of Attraction by Simone Elkeles

2011 Contemporaries

Read:
1.  Babe in Boyland by Jody Gehrman
2.  Where She Went by Gayle Forman
3.  Spoiled by Heather Cocks and Jessica Morgan
4.  Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire

2012 Contemporaries

Read:
1. Love & Leftovers by Sarah Tregay
2. Supergirl Mixtapes by Meghan Brothers
3. Don't You Wish by Roxanne St. Claire
4. Welcome Caller, This is Chloe by Shelley Coriell
5. Never Say Never by Kailin Gow
6. Pushing the Limits by Katie McGarry
7. One Moment by Kristina McBride
8. The Raft by S.A. Bodeen
9. Survive by Alex Morel

My goal: 15 contemporaries total
